Sometimes we say farewell to friends and loved ones sooner than we expect. Having spent a great deal of time with one such friend during his battle with cancer, I saw firsthand how the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre made his journey easier to bear. I witnessed the palliative care team doing their all to make his final months, weeks and days less frightening and more dignified. This is why, when we were planning our inaugural tournament, I had no hesitation in naming my beneficiary of choice.
